A Missed Used Verse 3 John 2 in the King James version says " Beloved, I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in good health, even as you soul prospereth." When they translated the KJV they should not have worded it this way . I think the NIV translation is much clearer on this verse. The word prosper here from the Greek is euodoo which really means good road. It has NOTHING to do with money as so many Christians in the so called Faith Movement teach. Also in the verse it says above ALL ELSE. Well Jesus told us that above all eles we are to love God. Also if you check the roots or the foundation at which these teachings come from you will see that it comes from a man named Kenyon. He got them from the teachins of Mary Baker Eddie ( the founder of Christian Science) the leader of a cult. You see I was one of these people till someone showed me the truth. I prayed for a large sum of money that I didn't need but wanted. You might say Jim you don't have faith. Well if I had the room I could tell you about all the answered prayers and the faith that I and my family needed to live . I know what its like to pray for my daily bread. God wants us to prosper but its not with earthly riches but the riches of Heaven. I'll have more to say about this subject soon.
