Content Providers:
This part of the web-team is the most important. The content
on this site is what drives it. Without meaningful content, all the
bells 'n' whistles are worthless. Content providers can help is in
all ways you can think of. So think to yourself, "How can
I contribute to this site?" The answer to that question
is where your interests, abilities, and desires intersect. What
are your interests?, What would you like to share with the BSM? Primarily,
content is in the form of Poetry, Music, Stories, Devotions, artwork,
etc... But whatever ideas you come up with are fair game. So go ahead
and find your niché in this ministry.

Photography:
If you are the type who often takes many pictures @
special events like our annual "Mission Trips", Spring Banquets,
etc... Then we could use your help. You job would be to simply do
what you always do: take pictures. Then get all the good ones together,
scan them (preferably) and include a description of each photo. That
is the core of this area. However, if you can do more, than go ahead
and design a photo-album for those pictures. Finally, when it's all
complete the album is merged into the site.

Site Design:
This is a great opportunity for you to learn & practice
the technologies involved in graphic design. Primary software tools
include Paint Shop Pro, Macromedia Dream Weaver, XARA 3D, Xara
WebStyle, Notepad, and Front Page if you must. Future site
design issues will include Flash Animation and the exploration of
Adobe PhotoShop. Each Semester or two, a new site design is expected
to be designed. PLEASE help contribute to this exciting endeavor.
Web Programming:
We could really use some people to do some scripting for us.
If you know any type of programming language, then you have a good
foundation to learn the latest in web technologies. Currently, the
primary scripting language used is JavaScript and PHP. Future endeavors
will incorporate the usage of ASP, VBScript, and SQL. It may sound
boring, but ... will enable us to create seamless chat rooms, forums,
mailing lists, and other great features the web has to offer. Yes,
I know you could just go to any ol' free-script page and get and automatic
chat room w/ only 2 lines of code.... but that's spoil all the fun
:).
As the site becomes more popular, demand for dynamic content will
increases; it is the responsibility of the web-programmer to provide
the solutions to power these increasing demands.
Education:
Part of this ministry is an effort to educate those who are
interested in the technologies surrounding computers and communications.
So if you want to learn more about computers or any other communications
technology, then you've come to the right place. Each month, I plan
to do a mini-seminar on a different topic. This can also be a great
outreach opportunity to get all your computer-geek friends over to
the BSM!
